'Soul of Benki', new single from Aniissh starrer 'Benki', out on May 20

Actor Anish Tejeshwar, known for films like 'Vaasu Naan Pakka Local' and 'Ramarjuna', will soon be in the film 'Benki'. The film is yet to release in theatres but the team has already released a single from the soundtrack which has now grown in popularity. Following this, the second single from the 'Benki' album will be out soon - titled 'Soul of Benki', the song will be released digitally on May 20.

Anish, taking to social media, announced the song release date and added that the upcoming track is one of his favorites from the album. He would also thank music composer Anand Rajavikram for the lovely composition, singer Chaitra J. Achar for her lovely vocals, and popular lyricist Nagarjun Sharma for the soulful lyrics.

An out-and-out commercial entertainer, Benki is centered on a brother-sister relationship with Sruthi Patil playing Anish's sister in the film. In a recent interview, Sruthi shared that she plays Seetha in the film, an educated girl living in a village, and the film essentially rides on the brother-sister sentiment. Along with many emotional sequences, the film is also action-packed throughout. Anish plays the titular role in the film and there is enough justification in the film about why he is called 'Benki'. A.R. Shaan, son of veteran filmmaker A.R. Babu, directs the film with Anish himself producing the film under the Winkwhistle Productions banner.

Anand Rajavikram has composed the film's music and the team has already released a track from the album. Titled 'Okay Naa?', the song was released by Ramya a couple of weeks ago to good reception. Sampada Hulivana plays the female lead in the film and reportedly, she will see as a ghost in the film and a good chunk of the film has elements of a horror-comedy. The interesting love story between Anish and Sampada's characters is supposedly one of the film's highlights.
