Soul of Pepe: Team 'Pepe' releases a special glimpse of the gritty world on Vinay Rajkumar's birthday

Soul of Pepe, a special video glimpse from the Vinay Rajkumar starrer Pepe, is out now. The makers of the upcoming gangster drama released the teaser on the occasion of Vinay's birthday and also allow the digital audience a peek into the gritty and grim world of the film.

While the first official teaser of Pepe unveiled the world and the myriad characters of the film, Soul of Pepe takes the viewer further deep into the transgressive tone. The glimpse blends a cryptic yet powerful voiceover with a montage of moody visuals and utilizes almost diegetic-like noises as part of the background score to uplift the overall feel. Poornachandra Tejaswi, who shot to fame with his unique soundscape in Pawan Kumar's 'Lucia', seems to have been allowed great liberty to spread out his range as a composer. As the video glimpse eventually unveils Vinay Rajkumar's raw and bloodied avatar in the film, the score too grows intense.

Pepe is an action-packed gangster film set in Coorg whose narrative spans five decades - Vinay Rajkumar plays the male lead and he is supported by close to fifty different characters in the film with Kaajal Kunder playing the leading lady. Shreelesh S. Nair makes his debut as a director (also writer) with the film and Uday Shankar S serves as the film's producer under the banner of Uday Cine Venture. S. Naveen Kumar handles cinematography with Manu Shedgar editing the film.

Vinay Rajkumar's birthday turned out to be quite eventful as the team of 'Andodittu Kaala' came out with the teaser of the film. The young actor, who is part of the third generation of actors from the Dr. Rajkumar family along with younger brother Yuva Rajkumar and cousins Dhanya and Dheeren Ramkumar, is striving hard to etch a unique path for himself by choosing to work with new and fresh voices. Along with the above two projects, he also has Karm Chawla's 'Ten' up for release wherein he plays a boxer.
