Soundarya Rajinikanth celebrates her birthday with the Superstar and baby boy Veer

On September 20, Soundarya Rajinikanth, turned 38. She posted a photo from her birthday celebrations that included her Superstar father, and son Veer, on social media. Soundarya is seen wearing a sari and a garland around her neck.

Rajinikanth, dressed in a white kurta, stood behind Soundarya, watching her as she sat on a sofa with Veer in her arms. The filmmaker covered her baby's face with a sticker so that no one could see it.

Soundarya entered the film industry as a graphic designer, went on to direct two Tamil projects: the 2014 animated film Kochadaiyaan, starring Rajinikanth, and the 2017 film Velai Illa Pattathari 2, starring Dhanush and Kajol.

In 2014, she was appointed by Eros International Media Ltd (Eros), a leading global company in the film entertainment industry, as Director, Creative & Strategy. She was head of the company’s digital initiatives including ErosNow in South India.

Last year, Soundarya kickstarted a voice-based social media platform called Hoote. Developed by New York and Chennai-based Amtex Systems Inc, the App allows users to record an audio message for up to 60 seconds and share it. The social audio network is already loud with competition among players like Clubhouse, Twitter’s Spaces, Spotify’s Greenroom and Facebook’s Live Audio rooms, which is currently available only in the US.

The voice-based social media App will be available in 15 native languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Sanskrit, besides 10 international languages.

In 2019, Soundarya tied the knot with Vishagan Vanangamudi, and that was her second marriage. In 2010, she married industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar and the couple have a son named Ved. In 2016, Soundarya applied for divorce with Ashwin and got separated subsequently.

Vishagan, on the other hand, made his acting debut with Tamil thriller Vanjagar Ulagam.
