Amidst the wide buzz that Sounds Like Love appears to be a cross between Fleabag and The Devil Wears Prada, the Spanish rom-com is gearing up for a release. The dry-witty comedy helmed by Juana Macias is adapted from the best-selling 2018 novel titled Canciones Recuerdos (Songs and Memories) by Elisabet Benavent.

The plot revolves around Maca (Maria Valverde), who is a young woman residing in Madrid. An assistant to a fashion influencer, she aspires to build herself a bright future. The woman who has been through a tough breakup goes back to the rollercoaster of emotions when her ex-boyfriend shows up again. Things take a turn when she is forced to face her unresolved feelings.
