Sourav Ganguly’s biopic: Producer Luv Ranjan meets Dada, shooting to start soon

Many rumors about Sourav Ganguly's biopic have been on the air to date. Lots of speculations were made regarding who will play Sourav and when the shooting will start. Now the news is confirmed. After M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story and ’83, Sourav's biopic is on the cards. The producers said that the shooting will start at the end of 2023. 

Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg will produce the biopic. They went to Dada's house on May 26 and talked for two hours. They discussed the script. They will again sit with Dada two more times. After the final discussion, the scriptwriting will start. They want to do a quick job and hence will finish the script and start the shooting this year. If everything goes well, then the shooting will start in 2023 December or 2024 January. 

Many people asked who will play Dada's role. Sourav once said that he would want to see Ranbir Kapoor playing his role. Ranbir came to Kolkata in February during the promotion of his film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. He met Sourav at that time. They played Cricket and spent a considerable time together. That incited the speculation that Ranbir will play Sourav in his biopic. Later, it was reported that Ayushmann Khurrana may replace Ranbir as it is still unclear whether the latter will act in the film. The producers said that after the script is written, they will announce the protagonist.
