Malayalam filmmaker Abrid Shine’s upcoming movie Spa was scheduled to release in theatres on February 12. But in the latest update, the film has been postponed by a day. However, the postponement was not due to cinema issues but a national-level strike. With the update, Spa would now release on Friday, clashing with other Malayalam films Pennum Porattum and Sukhamano Sukhamanu.
When will Spa movie release?
The Malayalam movie Spa would now release in theatres on February 13. The Abrid Shine directorial, which revolves around a spa, has been issued an A certificate. The movie features Shruthy Menon and actor-filmmaker Sidharth Bharathan, along with Radhika Radhakrishnan, Sreeja Das, Poojitha Menon, and Rima Dutta, among others. More details about the plot are not known. Abrid Shine is known for his different take on movie narrative and fans are sure that Spa would offer something atypical.
Which are the other Malayalam movies releasing on February 13
At least three other Malayalam films are releasing on February 13. Sukhamano Sukhamann, starring young actors Mathew Thomas and Devika Sanjay, is slated to hit screens on Friday. Arunlal Ramachandran has directed the film, which also features senior actors Jagadish, Spadikam George, and Jibin Gopinath.
The second film releasing on Friday is Pennum Porattum, which marks the directorial debut of actor Rajesh Madhavan. The film has Tovino Thomas lending his voice to the dog Suttu. Pennum Porattum was earlier screened at Tovino Thomas lending his voice to the dog Suttu International Film Festival of Kerala 2025 and garnered positive feedback. The recent trailer also got much attention.
