Special Ops 2 behind-the-scenes video
Special Ops 2, like promised by Neeraj Pandey previously, has gone grand. This time around, the series is shot in Budapest, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Jordan, apart from India.
But it is not just about the locations. Special Ops 2 promises more action and intense performances than the previous season(s). The still of Prakash Raj from behind the camera looks particularly daunting, but like we already know, Kay Kay Menon's Himmat Singh and his team are bound to steal the limelight from them all.
Who's back from Special Ops, and who joins the cast as fresh faces for season 2?
Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Dilip Tahil, Parmeet Sethi, Kali Prasad Mukherjee, Muzammil Ibrahim, Saiyami Kher, and Gautami Kapoor are back from Special Ops season 1. Their characters are revived from the previous season. Tahir Raj Bhasin plays the lead antagonist in season 2, with Arif Zakaria, Kamakshi Bhat, Shikha Talsania, Prakash Raj, and Vikkas Manaktala coming in as fresh faces this season.
For the uninitiated, while this is Special Ops season 2, the makers did come up with a spin-off called Special Ops 1.5, which featured Kay Kay Menon’s story as Himmat Singh. The series had a different cast, and thus, Special Ops 2 marks the team’s reunion after five long years.
When and where to stream Special Ops 2?
Special Ops season 2 will be available on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium. The season will be out this Friday i.e. on July 18. Unlike Pankaj Tripathi's Criminal Justice: A Family Matter, which was out on a weekly basis, Special Ops season 2 would release all episodes at once.
