Neeraj Pandey-Kay Kay Menon's Special Ops 2.0 has got a new release date. The series, which was originally scheduled to release this Friday, i.e. on July 11, 2025, has a new streaming date. The espionage thriller is postponed, and the new release date is now out.
Special Ops 2.0 will be available for streaming on JioHotstar. The same will be available with your OTTplay Premium plan. The show, however, is delayed by a week and will be available from Friday, July 18, 2025, instead of Friday, July 11, 2025.
This time around, the war for Special Ops 2.0 is about humans vs. technology. There is a silent threat, and only Himmat Singh (played by Kay Kay Menon) and his team might have a solution to this problem. "Himmat Singh has never been your typical hero; he doesn't chase glory, he carries burdens. This time, the battles are quieter but more dangerous, and the cost of every decision feels heavier," Kay Kay Menon said in a media statement, assuring that he felt challenged as an actor in spirit with the story of Himmat Singh in Special Ops 2.0. This, the actor finds rare to come by.

While most of the original cast from Special Ops is back for the second season, there are fresh faces joining the show, too. Prakash Raj, Vinay Pathak, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Karan Tacker, Saiyami Kher, Muzammil Ibrahim, Gautami Kapoor, Parmeet Sethi, and Kali Prasad Mukherjee play a pivotal role in the Shivam Nair directorial. More recently, Tahir Raj Bhasin shared the secret of shooting a project with Neeraj Pandey and said that the filmmaker does not give a good or excellent take, but simply states ‘moving on.’ This statement left him as well as his co-star Karan Tacker anxious, till they got used to the process.
