After a long wait, the trailer as well as OTT release date for Kay Kay Menon's Special Ops Season 2 were revealed today, June 16.

Special Ops is one of the most-loved thrillers, and fans have been awaiting season 2 for ages. After teasing fans, the makers have unveiled the trailer as well as the OTT release date. Starring Kay Kay Menon, Karan Tacker, and more, Special Ops 2.0 promises a more intense plot, and it is going to be Menon's Himmat Singh and his team vs. cyber-terrorism, especially Artificial Intelligence.

On June 16, JioHotstar revealed that Special Ops 2.0 will be released on July 11. They also unveiled the trailer. The 2-minute and 10-second trailer shows Himmat Singh (Kay Kay Menon) vs cyber-terrorism, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI). As the largest user of UPI, India is currently under threat from global privacy breaches. Himmat Singh has once again assembled his trusted team to take on their digital enemy, secretly, of course, but this time, everyone is a target.
“Now, the country that wins the cyber war will win it all,” Himmat Singh said in Special Ops 2's action-packed trailer.
While Kay Kay Menon is all set to reprise his fan-favourite character, Himmat Singh, Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, Saiyami Kher, and Meher Vij are also reprising their roles.
Tahir Raj Bhasin and Prakash Raj will be joining the OG cast. For the unversed, Special Ops 2 has been filmed in foreign locations such as Budapest, Turkey, and Georgia.

Meanwhile, Special Ops 2.0 centers around the threat of cyber-terrorism and a potential global privacy breach, with India, a major user of UPI, being a primary target. The story highlights the importance of cyber warfare, and the series emphasizes that the nation that wins this war will ultimately prevail.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Special Ops creator Neeraj Pandey if there is a possibility of a third instalment. On Special Ops 3, the filmmaker shared, “I don't know. Let [Special Ops] 2 come out. We'll have feedback from you people and all that, and if the audiences encourage us to make another one, then why not!”
