Yesterday, we had reported that the much-awaited trailer of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ will be released today (April 4). Well, the makers of the film have released the trailer, which promises to keep everyone hooked on to their seats. If at all there is one word with which one could describe the trailer of ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, then, the word is ‘WOW'.
The makers of the film posted the trailer on social media and captioned it stating, “One Spider-Man wants to change his own destiny. Miles Morales returns for the next Spider-Man movie, exclusively in theaters June 2. Watch the new trailer for Across the #SpiderVerse now.”. For all those who have had been waiting (with bated breath) for ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, the trailer just doesn’t disappoint you at all… even a bit. The said trailer sees Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) doing ‘just about fine’ in his balancing act, the act in which he balances his school life and the life in which he deals with his ‘friendly neighbourhood villains’ like The Spot (Jason Schwartzman). Just like any mother and father, even Miles Morales’ mother Rio and father Jefferson (‘voiced’ by Luna Lauren Velez and Brian Tyree Henry respectively) also wish to see their son being happy always. Just as when one would think or expect Miles Morales to open up and confess before his loving and caring parents about his dual life, he comes face to face with Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), his good buddy from another dimension.
The three-odd-minute trailer starts Miles Morales (whose dual life is that of being the Spiderman’) encountering with The Spot, while Gwen Stacy introduces him (Miles Morales) to a whole bunch of ‘elite crew’ with new ‘Spider-people’ in a building. What happens after that is definitely going to be super interesting. The scene where Miles gets told that, “Miles, being Spider-man is a sacrifice. You have a choice between saving one person and saving every world”, literally gives the goosebumps.
While the film ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ is being directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson and Powers, it has been written by Lord and Miller alongwith Dave Callaham. As for the film’s Executive Producers, they include Aditya Sood, Rebecca Karch, Brian Bendis, Peter Ramsey, Bob Persichetti and Rodney Rothman.
The theatrical release of ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ has been scheduled for June 2 this year.
