The cameras are rolling for the fourth instalment Spider-Man: Brand New Day, promising to be a much more exciting narrative compared to his last flick, Spider-Man: No Way Home, as Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony Pictures were going through a little uncertainty about the Spider-Man film franchise. The fourth installment is expected to be released in cinemas next year on July 31, 2026. However, there's still no official trailer dropped, but a 9-second video from Sony Pictures teased with Tom Holland's visuals as Spider-Man. The filming of Spider-Man: Brand New Day began in August 2025, with location from Glasgow, Scotland, while soundstage work occurs at Pinewood Studios in England.

What to expect from Spider-Man: Brand New Day

The fourth instalment is rumoured to feature villains more ground level and less focused on large-scale destructions. The central antagonist is expected to be Mr. Negative, a character that was mentioned in the comics who runs a criminal empire. Mr. Negative along with his gang, is a street-level threat that bring Spider-Man back to his roots. The plot is expected begin with a surprising conflict between Spider-Man and the rampaging Hulk, which diverting the bigger threat Mr. Negative.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is rumoured to have drawn inspirations heavily from the 2008 Brand New Day comic book, where the world forgets Spider-Man's identify, making him return with his personal conflicts, petty fights, and everyday crimes, instead of previous cosmic threates. This focus on street-level crime and a more personal story for Peter Parker is all about Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
