Now that Eternals has hit the big screens, Marvel Entertainment is gearing up for the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. For the same, the makers have dropped the latest poster for the upcoming film featuring Tom Holland in the titular role. With the poster, the multiverse has been unleashed and there's no turning back. It features the web-slinger against Doc Ock's (Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius aka Doctor Octopus) tentacles, a new but old foe.
In the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: Far from Home, we saw our friendly neighbourhood hero unmasked for the first time in Spider-Man's cinematic history. He can no longer distinguish between his daily life and the high stakes of being a superhero. When he seeks Doctor Strange's assistance, the stakes rise even higher, forcing him to realise what it means to be Spider-Man.
Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, and Marisa Tomei reprise their roles from previous Spider-Man films, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
Meanwhile, Molina is reprising his role from the 2004 film Spider-Man 2, which featured Tobey Maguire in the titular role. There are even reports that Jamie Foxx will be reprising his role as Max Dillon, aka Electro, from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which had Andrew Garfield playing the role of the superhero.
Not just that, JK Simmons will be seen as J Jonah Jameson, the host of TheDailyBugle.net who was seen in Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3 and made a cameo appearance in the climax of Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The film is produced by Kevin and Amy Pascal, with executive producers Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, JoAnn Perritano, Rachel O'Connor, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach. Jon Watts directed the film, which was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
On December 17, 2021, Spider-Man: No Way Home will finally be released in theatres.
