Ever since the announcement of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been dishing out theories and possibilities. The first trailer for the movie, which broke records, also helped produce more of such theories.

One popular theory is the supposed return of Jamie Foxx’s Electro from Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in the upcoming movie. With the storyline about the multiverse, this seemed very possible

Now Tom Holland, who plays MCU’s Spider-Man has confirmed Foxx’s role in the movie when asked if he was feeling any added pressure due to the presence of the original actors in an interview with Total Film.

Holland answered, “It was interesting having those guys come in because they have a certain ownership over Spider-Man in their own way, and... I’m talking about Alfred and Jamie and those guys.”

Holland, who has previously let slip a few spoilers for the Marvel movies, was careful this time, only slipping two names that were more or less confirmed. While Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock was shown in the trailer, Foxx had earlier shared a post on social media and deleted it.

While the young actor’s words confirm the return of these two arch-enemies of the wall crawler, it is still unknown what villains and heroes will make way into Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Directed by Jon Watts, the 27th movie in the MCU is set to hit theatres on December 17.
