Squad preview: All you need to know about Rinzing Denzongpa’s debut film

Danny Denzongpa’s son Rinzing Denzongpa is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Squad. The film, releasing on Zee5, is a film many are waiting for. A MARCOS commando Bhim (Rinzing) fights a battle with the special forces. However, the story also has an emotional angle. The movie is slated to release directly-on-OTT on November 12.

What’s Squad all about?

Squad sees the battle between special forces. Bhim, from the MARCOS (navy) is at the centre of it. However, the focus is not only on the battle since an emotional angle makes up for a huge part of the story.

Who plays what in Squad?

Rinzing Denzongpa plays the role of MARCOS commando Bhim. Malvika Raaj is seen as a member of his team. She plays Aria in the movie. Pooja Batra is seen as the consultant Nandini Rajput. Dishita Jain plays the role of the second lead Mimi, who needs to be rescued from the special forces. The movie also stars Mohan Kapoor as Abhay Bhatnagar, Rohan Arora as Nakul, Amit Gaur as Ajay, Tanisha Dhillon as Addy, Ashish Tyagi as Girish and Abdullah Osman as Ayutam.

While Danny Denzongpa, best known for playing villains in Bollywood movies, his son Renzing is going to make his debut in the industry as a hero. He had always maintained that he wanted to be an actor like his father but at the right time. Now he has the opportunity and support from friends like Tiger Shroff.

Rinzing was finalized for the film in 2018.

Rinzing announced his debut back in 2018. While the movie was announced, it only went on floors in September 2019. The movie was shot within a month’s time, mainly owing to the already big delay in it going on floors.

Director change in 2018.

Jyoti Kapur Das was originally roped in to direct Squad. However, she backed out and Nilesh Sahay came on board. Soon, Malvika Raaj was finalized for the project, followed by the other actors.

Special stunt directors for the actioner.

Nilesh roped in Keir Beck as the stunt co-ordinator. He has worked on Mad Max: Fury Road and Casino Royale. Maciej Kwiatkowski then came on board as fight choreographer.

Malvika Raaj’s debut as a lead too.

This is the first time when Malvika Raaj also makes her debut as the female lead. She is best remembered for playing Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Pooja Batra’s comeback to Bollywood.

Pooja Batra will also make her Bollywood comeback with Squad. The actress has been MIA from Indian films but has cleared that she was actively working in the US nonetheless.

First Indian film to be shot in Belarus.

Squad happens to be the first Indian film to be shot in Belarus, Minsk. The principal photography of the film began at Belarusfilms studio in September 2019.
