The much-anticipated second season of Korean show Squid Game 2 is now streaming! The South Korean dystopian survival thriller show whose first season created waves and has a major fan following, debuted the second season on Thursday, December 26, on Netflix. The show is available in several international and Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Created by Korean writer and television producer Hwang Dong-hyuk, the first season released in 2021. The series revolves around a dystopian atmosphere in South Korea's economy which makes people participate in life-threatening survival games organised by masked army. With players getting eliminated, in this case, killed, the ultimate winner gets a bumper prize. The first season ended with Player 456 winning the game, as we come to know the mystery looming over who are the organizers of the game.

The second season starts three years after the events of the first season, where Player 456 has given up going to the States as he once again gets attached to the game and challenges himself in the life-or-death game. The series’ second season has now debuted on Netflix. Available in several international and Indian-language dubbed versions, the second season consists of seven episodes. Squid Game S2 is available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu Indian languages in audio versions.

The cast of Squid Game 2 features Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo along with newcomers Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an.

Season 2 is written and directed by Emmy winner Hwang Dong-hyuk, who is also the executive producer. It is yet to be announced if there will be a third part of the series. The first season was critically acclaimed for its writing and performances.
