Netflix has just announced the cast of the second season of its hit Korean web series Squid Game, and we cannot keep calm!

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Netflix shared a new video revealing the cast members. The first season of Squid Game, directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, was released on Netflix in 2021.

The clip opened with a quick peek at season one. It then showed the new cast walking up to a podium. It has two lights: green and red. All of them pressed the green button.

Fans will be happy to know that while there are new additions to the cast, some members from season 1 will return to season 2. These include Lee Jung-jae, who plays Seong Gi-hun, a divorced chauffeur and gambling addict; Lee Byung-hun as Hwang In-ho, The Front Man, overseer of the Squid Game; Wi Ha-joon as police officer Hwang Jun-ho, who sneaks into the game disguised as a guard to find his missing brother; and Gong Yoo as a salesman who recruits participants for the game.

Along with the returning cast, four new actors join the team for season 2. Let's meet them:

Im Si-wan
Popularly known as Siwan, he is a member of the South Korean boy band ZE:A and its sub-group ZE:A Five. Siwan has starred in films like The Attorney and series like Misaeng: Incomplete Life, which were both successful. He has won several awards for his acting.

Kang Ha-neul
Kang Ha-neul is best known for his roles in Korean dramas like The Heirs and Insider, and films like Mourning Grave and The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure. In 2020, he received the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actor – Television and ranked 23rd in Forbes Korea Power Celebrity annual list.

Park Sung-hoon
Park Sung-hoon made his mark in K-dramas like Six Flying Dragons, My Only One, Justice, and Joseon Exorcist. He's the recipient of several awards, like the KBS Drama Awards for Best New Actor for My Only One and Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me, and Korean Culture Entertainment Awards for Best New Actor (Drama) for Six Flying Dragons.

Yang Dong-geun
Yang Dong-geun, or YDG, is an actor, rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, and breakdancer. He's best known for starring in My Secret Terrius and Cheer Up. He enlisted for mandatory military service in May 2008 for 21 months of active duty. During this time, he starred in the military musical titled Mine with Kangta.
