Twitter has released its annual #OnlyOnTwitter report based on internal company data from January 1-November 15, 2021. According to the report, Squid Game and Wanda Vision were among the most tweeted about show in the US, writes Variety.
Squid Game, the Korean series that followed a group of people playing children's survival games to hit a jackpot, was one of the most unexpected global hits of this year. The series was, and still is one of the most viewed on Netflix.
Meanwhile, WandaVision followed the suburban lives of Marvel heroes Wanda and Vision and is available to watch on Disney+ in the US and Disney+ Hotstar in India.
Variety writes that Black Panther was the most tweeted about movie this year, and a lot of the tweets mentioned the 2018 feature's upcoming sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Other movies that made to this list are Godzilla vs Kong, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, The Suicide Squad, and the soon-to-release Spider-Man: No Way Home.
