There is a new twist in the divorce case between Srabanti Chatterjee and Roshan Singh. The latter filed another case against the actress alleging that she gave false witness in court. He filed the case under section 304 of the CPRC, which deals with perjury.

The case can be filed against a person who gives a false statement during a trial. Why did Roshal file such a case against Srabanti? Srabanti, while filing for divorce, demanded alimony of Rs seven lakhs per month. She also submitted accounts of her earnings and expenses. Some discrepancies are presumably found there.

According to a source, the account placed by Srabanti during her fight in the election differs from her statement in court. Srabanti told Anandabazar Online, “I do not want to say anything without consulting my lawyer.” The next hearing is on 16th December in Alipur High Court. If the allegation is proven, Srabanti may even go to prison, according to Roshan's lawyer.

Srabanti got married to Rosahn in 2020. The actress filed for divorce in 2021. The case is ongoing for two years. Now Roshan retaliated with a legal case. When will this issue be resolved? Only time will tell.

Srabanti’s personal life has traditionally made headlines. After a few unsuccessful marriages, the actress ties the knot with Roshan. However, that relationship has also turned sour. She was rumored to date her housing resident, businessman Avirup Nag Chowdhury. Nowadays pictures of them together get viral. They completed a number of tours including Maldives and Dubai. However, as per sources close to Srabanti and Abhirup, there has been an amicable separation between them. Srabanti is still the brand ambassador of Avirup’s company.
