Sreeleela, Genelia, Ravichandra V come on board for Kireeti Reddy's bilingual debut, SS Rajamouli graces launch ceremony

Popular Telugu production house Vaarahi Chalana Chitram is backing the on-screen debut of Kireeti Reddy, son of politician, industrialist Gali Janardhan Reddy. The untitled film, an action entertainer to be made simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada, written and directed by Radha Krishna went on floors today. RRR, Baahubali director SS Rajamouli graced the film's opening ceremony as a chief guest. Several leading politicians from Karnataka were part of the event too.

While director Rajamouli clapped for the first shot of the film, Kannada star Ravichandra V (who's also playing a key role in the film) switched on the camera. Another interesting development with the project being, Sreeleela has been roped in as the leading lady of the untitled film. Genelia Deshmukh, who was on a sabbatical from films post marriage, is returing to Kannada and Telugu cinema with the project. Both the actors were present at the event as well. Actor Shiva Rajkumar sent a video byte wishing the best for the team.

Expressing his happiness about the film's launch, Kireeti said, “Appu Sir inspired me to enter films and I thank Sai Korrapati for producing my debut. We've been family friends for long and he's pulling all the stops to handle this project well. The director Radha Krishna is Puneeth sir's find. Acting with a close friend like Sreeleela, sharing the screenspace with Genelia in her comeback project, associating with the best technicians in the business, I couldn't have asked for anything more and I will give my best for this.”

Sreeleela called this a special film and lavished praise on her good friend Kireeti, adding that he'll become a good actor with all his hardwork. She added that the film has a beautiful story, great cast and crew, besides crediting Genelia for staying fit and looking the same despite not working in films for over 10 years. Genelia said that returning to sets all over again feels like her debut, stating she's pumped up to work with a young team, fantastic star cast. Rajamouli opined Kireeti's all-round skills with performance, action and dances will give him an edge as an actor.

Touted to be an action romance, the film's technical team comprises cinematographer K Senthil Kumar, composer Devi Sri Prasad, production designer Raveendar, stunt director Peter Hein to name a few.
