Sreelekha Mitra now asks how many people enquire about depression. She has been vocal about depression previously also. She was much trolled for it as well. Now she says, "I talked about it much before and was labeled a lunatic."

On Thursday, Sreelekha asked about ending body shaming on social media. She wrote, "Depression is a major cause of weight gain. I am one such example. Have you ever enquired about how the person is doing?" Why such a post?

Sreelekha told Anandabazar Online, I don't want to name anyone since it will trigger controversy. There is an actress who is much trolled because she gained weight. It can be a huge pressure on an actress. We look at our photos ten years back and sigh thinking that we were so beautiful then. People don't remain the same. Beauty changes with age."

Many people go through a strict diet to retain so-called beauty. Sreelekha thinks that it could affect them in the future. She claims that Bollywood wants to follow the definition of beauty set by Hollywood. Tollywood follows Bollywood.

Sreelekha said, "Every person loves themselves and likes to see their photos. In our world, photos and beauty are showcased. People think that we deck up and get paid. Hence we are attacked so much."

Sreelekha thinks that mental illness must be identified. Reaching the doctor for the first time is a hugely difficult task. "Some people's sickness is being identified. If it does not get identified, it could become dangerous. It took time for me to know that I was suffering from depression. After my separation, when I was trying to restart my life, I saw that I could not get up from the bed. I sat in one place for hours. I understood that I needed to go to the doctor. Life is not a fable. We have to take care of ourselves."
