It was heard for a long time that Camellia Productions would launch their OTT platform. The news is confirmed now. Their new platform Friday will be launched on July 27. They plan to bring 26 fresh web series and 2 films. Seven of the series have been completed and the rest are in the making stage. Sreelekha Mitra is directing a web series on the platform. The name of the series is Pan Supari.
Arindam Sil’s Unishe April, Kamaleswar Mukherjee’s Night of Crime, Sagnik Chatterjee’s Lady Chatterjee, Arindam Chakraborty’s Ami Nondini, Deep Modak’s Necro, Abu Hayat Mahmud’s Bhalobasha, and Kaushik Kar’s Fotash–these seven series will be launched at the opening day. Srijit Mukherji is bringing the series Renaissance, centering on Bengal’s enlightenment figures.
Arindam Sil is bringing the murder mystery Unishe April, starring Arifin Shuvoo (from Bangladesh), Arunima Ghosh, Sauraseni Maitra, Indrasish Roy, and Anuradha Roy in the lead roles. Kamaleswar Mukherjee’s series will feature Ritwick Chakraborty, Saswata Chatterjee, Rituparna Sengupta, and Arunima Ghosh. Lady Chatterjee will star Arunima Ghosh, Debasish Mondal, and Alivia Sarkar.
Arindam Sil and Sujit Pyne will direct two films. Debaloy Bhattacharya, Samik Roy Chowdhury, Abhirup Ghosh, Joydeep Mukherjee, Ranjan Ghosh, Sayantan Mukherjee, Debaditya Banerjee, Saket Banerjee, Utsab Mukherjee, and many other directors will make several series.
