Sreemoyee Chattoraj: Kanchan encourages me to continue with my acting career

Kancham Mullick and Sreemoyee Chattoraj’s relationship has been in the headlines for quite some time. Finally, the duo stunned everyone by marrying each other on February 14. They will now have a social marriage. Sreemoyee said that she is tense about this.

In an interview with Hindustan Times Bangla, Sreemoyee said, “I am tense. I am having a peculiar feeling and perhaps panicking a bit more.”

Elaborating this, Sreemoyee said, “My tension is mainly about whether I can properly welcome the relatives who will come. Whether I can cooperate with everyone and can arrange so much in such a short time. I am thinking over these.”

However, Sreemoyee expressed her elation while talking. She is happy with the identity of Kanchan Mullick's wife. Many people are asking whether she will go on acting after her marriage or quit her job and concentrate on the family. Sreemoyee was frank on that matter.

Sreemoyee said, “I wanted to be a housewife, but Kanchan asked why I would quit acting. He asked me to continue since I made my identity here. Hence I will act, only if I get the chance (laughs).” 

Sreemoyee said, “I love staying at home. But I also love acting. I don't know anything else.”

Sreemoyee is currently playing the role of Damini Chatterjee in Sun Bangla’s serial Akash Kusum. She said that she would start a new serial soon.

Sreemoyee became popular with her character Radharani in the serial Krishnakali. She also starred in important roles in Khukumoni Home Delivery and Kamala O Sriman Prithwiraj.
