Writer and filmmaker Abhilash S Kumar has announced his next titled Chattambi, which has Sreenath Bhasi, Chemban Vinod Jose and Grace Antony in the lead. The movie’s title poster was unveiled today through the actors’ social media pages.
The film, which is currently being shot, also has Binu Pappu, Mythili Balachandran, Guru Somasundaram and Assif Yogi, who is also producing the movie. Don Palathara, who had directed Shavam, Santoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam and 1956, Central Travancore, has written the story and screenplay for the upcoming movie.
While the genre of the movie or its plot details have not been revealed by the team, we know that DJ Shekhar Menon is composing for Chattambi. Abhilash had last year directed the music video KozhiPunk featuring Shekhar and Sreenath based on K Satchidanandan’s poem.
Abhilash, who has co-written the scripts of Salt N Pepper, 22 Female Kottayam and Da Thadiya, was working on his directorial Simply Soumya when the nationwide lockdown was announced in March. The feel-good film had Grace Antony and Sreenath Bhasi as its leads.
Chattambi has Joel Kavi as its editor and Alex Joseph as its cinematographer. Alex has also written the dialogues for the movie. While Sreenath was last seen in #Home, which released on Amazon Prime Video, Chemban Vinod Jose has Ashraf Hamza’s Bheemante Vazhi coming up. The actor has also scripted the Kunchacko Boban-starrer, which is a satire that also has Binu Pappu, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Chinnu Chandini.
