Sri Chidambaram Garu OTT release postponed: Here's when the Vamsi Tummala film will be out now

Sri Chidambaram Garu is a low-budget romantic drama that hit the screens on February 6, 2026. With no popular faces in the cast, the film ended up as a flop at the box office. It was initially expected to arrive on OTT within two weeks of its theatrical release.

We at OTTplay had already revealed that ETV Win had acquired the digital rights and would stream Sri Chidambaram Garu from February 19, 2026. However, as per the latest update, the OTT release has been postponed. 

When is Sri Chidambaram Garu releasing on OTT?

The film will now be available for streaming from February 26, 2026. The postponement has come as a surprise, as ETV Win usually does not delay releases once they are officially locked. The exact reason for the delay is not yet known. 

Nevertheless, the film is now confirmed to stream on ETV Win and OTTplay Premium from February 26, 2026. There is not much of a hype for this film which has been made on a low budget and went unnoticed due to the other big release, Euphoria driected by Gunasekhar.

The story revolves around a mason who has a squint eye and hides this insecurity by always wearing goggles. He falls in love with a young woman, but she rejects his proposal. The hero assumes that she turned him down because of his physical appearance and takes a drastic step to win her love. What he does to bring her back into his life forms the crux of the story.

During its theatrical run, the performances received appreciation. However, the slow-paced second half and dragged narration did not work in the film’s favor. The makers believe that the film will find a better reception on OTT, as its strong emotional core and realistic treatment may appeal more to streaming audiences.
