Sridevi Shoban Babu trailer moves past the 1 million mark, Santosh Shobhan, Gouri Kishan's chemistry wows netizens

Sridevi Shoban Babu, an out-and-out mass entertainer featuring Santosh Shobhan and Gouri Kishan in the lead, is set to storm the theatres shortly. While Santosh Shobhan turned a lead actor with Ek Mini Katha a year ago, Gouri Kishan shot to fame by playing the younger version of Trisha, Samantha in 96 and Jaanu. Chiranjeevi's daughter and costume designer Sushmita Konidela and Vishnu Prasad are jointly producing the film under Gold Box Entertainments. The rural comedy is written and directed by Prasanth Kumar Dimmala.

Ahead of the film's release, Chiranjeevi had launched Sridevi Shoban Babu's theatrical trailer on Saturday and it is already inching close to the 1.5 million views mark on Youtube. In the trailer, Gouri Kishan is portrayed as a fiery, tomboyish girl who leaves no chance to whack people while the male lead Shoban does the same, but verbally. What if these two opposites fall in love? How do they go from not tolerating one another to falling head-over-heels in love? What are the obstacles they could possibly face as they try to unite? That's Sridevi Shoban Babu for you. 

In stark contrast to Santosh Shobhan's reasonably underplayed, sober avatars in the recent past, the actor is placed amid a rural backdrop and looks very much at ease in a complete mass avatar. The film also unveils an unexplored dimension in Gouri Kishan and she shares terrific on-screen chemistry with her co-star. Naga Babu, Rohini, Moin and several newcomers play supporting roles in this romantic saga. Hrudaya Kaleyam composer Syed Kamran has composed the music for the same. 

The film's shoot is complete and the makers will confirm the release date soon. The technical team of Sridevi Shoban Babu comprises cinematographer Siddarth Ramaswamy, art director Dattatreya, choreographer Polaki Vijay, to name a few. The team had unveiled the teaser of the film a few days ago as well. Gold Box Entertainments had also produced Shootout at Alair for ZEE5, Senapathi for aha in the past.
