Boney Kapoor has confirmed the sequel to Sridevi's last movie, MOM. The producer is planning to take the franchise forward with their daughter, Khushi Kapoor. It is to be noted that Khushi has just made her debut in Bollywood and is more recently seen in Nadaaniyan opposite Ibrahim Ali Khan. Nadaaniyan is Khushi's third project after The Archies and Loveyapa opposite Junaid Khan. MOM, which was Sridevi's last project, holds a special place among her fans and now, Khushi will be taking the legacy forward.
Boney Kapoor mentioned that he wants to cast Khushi Kapoor in MOM 2. During his media interaction at IIFA 2025 green carpet, Boney confirmed that since he is Khushi's biggest fan and has seen all her movies, he plans to cast her in a film after completing work on No Entry 2. "It could be MOM 2," he confirmed.
Even though Khushi Kapoor recently stated that she cannot be Sridevi even in 100 years, Boney Kapoor confirmed that Khushi is trying to follow the footsteps of her actor-mother. He further pointed out how Sridevi worked in all languages, hinting that Khushi might also star in other language films soon. Janhvi Kapoor has already started doing that, and was seen in Devara: Part 1 opposite Jr. NTR. "I hope Khushi and Janhvi succeeded in the same level of perfection," Boney told the media present.
While talking about No Entry 2, Boney Kapoor revealed that the film will go on floors in July-August. The producer also shared that a few leading ladies are locked for the project while others are yet to sign the dotted line. He also assured that there would be a formal announcement on the same.
The movie is in the pre-production stage currently. The original cast has been replaced completely. The film starred Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol and Bipasha Basu in pivotal roles. No Entry 2, on the other hand, features Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles.
