Sriimurali has chosen to collaborate with debutant Halesh Kogudi on a film, which is expected to go on floors by mid-2024.
OTTplay had reported very recently that Sriimurali would be collaborating with a debutant filmmaker on an untitled project, whose title was to be announced on December 17th on the occasion of his 42nd birthday. And just as promised, the makers of the said film are here with the title as well as the concept poster - Sriimurali will soon headline a film named 'Paraak', which will be directed by Halesh Kogudi.
"When the darkness envelopes, among the fallen heroes, redemption is the only light," reads the caption of the social media post that was shared earlier today, as part of the title announcement. The concept poster includes Sriimurali in an "angelic" pose boasting the trademark wings, except that one of the two wings is fully made up of guns. One might also spot a few bullet wounds on the body of Sriimurali's character in the poster, suggesting that there will be loads of action in the film.
According to a popular Kannada media outlet, Sriimurali was attracted to 'Paraak' because of the concept it is based on and that much like 'Bagheera', his upcoming film with Hombale Films, this film too is content-oriented. Halesh Kogudi, who has previously made short films and music videos, tells the same media outlet that 'Paraak' will be largely narrated or told through some intense action sequences. Other reports have billed the film as an "action suspense thriller".
'Paraak' comes as the production of Brand Corporates Production Pvt. Ltd. The team is yet to divulge other key details such as the remainder of the cast, core technical crew, music composer, etc.
On the other hand, Sriimurali fans are finally relieved to receive the teaser of 'Bagheera'. The film promises to see the actor in all his action glory and the teaser too suggests that there's something new and unconventional in store, as far as 'Bagheera' is concerned.
In the film, whose story has been written by Prashanth Neel, Sriimurali will be seen in diverse shades including as a police officer and a vigilante-like figure, who seeks justice in his own distinctive manner.
Dr. Suri has written the screenplay of 'Bagheera' and also directed the film, with AJ Shetty and Ajaneesh B Loknath handling cinematography and music respectively.
