Bangladesh is still heated up with the quota reform movement. Many artistes from different sectors of Bangladesh participated in a protest on Thursday morning in Dhaka’s Farmgate. Khufiya actress Azmeri Haque Badhon and others joined the protest. Artistes in West Bengal are also vocal regarding the issue. Now, Srijit Mukherji shared his daughter Ayra’s protesting soul on social media.
Ayra – Srijit and Mithila’s daughter – painted a picture that shows some dead bodies on the street and some people rallying at one side. They had posters saying ‘We want justice’ and ‘We want freedom’. A patriotic Bangladeshi song line was at the top of the picture.
Srijit wrote, ‘Probably the most important photo drawn by my little princess.’ He also said that he was proud of Ayra as well as of Mithila and Tahsan Rahman Khan — Mithila’s ex-husband. Srijit tagged some members of Mithila’s family, “The whole family brought her up beautifully,” the director wrote.
Mithila commented on the post. She mentioned some people from West Bengal and said that the family from this side of Bengal also had an important contribution in bringing up Ayra.
Netizens praised the post. Srijit got married to Mithila in 2019. He often posts on social media about Ayra. Mithila revealed that her daughter calls Srijit ‘Abbu’.
