Earlier in June, the director fell ill. He had chest discomfort and was advised by doctors to have an angiogram. At that time, his wife Mithila was in Bangladesh. Upon receiving the news, she hurriedly returned to Kolkata. However, as per Mithila's report of Srijit's angiogram, nothing alarming was found. In an interview with Hindustan Times Bangla, she stated, “When I messaged my mother-in-law, she told me that Srijit felt chest discomfort upon getting up with a sneeze. The doctor examined him and suggested an angiogram. While his food habits aren't good, he's overweight and has high cholesterol, so the doctor advised an angiogram. I was a bit scared upon hearing this. However, I couldn't get a ticket here because everyone was rushing to get one. I managed to get a ticket for the night of June 26 and arrived on the morning of June 27. The angiogram took place on June 28. Though they didn't find anything significant, his heart is in good condition.”
