They reportedly had a tiff during Ek Je Chhilo Raja and a couple of years ago, their differences came out in public. Now, they are back together in Srijit’s upcoming thriller, Dawshom Awbotaar.
By Jisshu U Sengupta’s admission, the actor and director Srijit Mukherji share a relationship like a married couple. They bicker and then makeup. The director and actor have worked together on multiple occasions and have several hits, including Jatiswaar, and Uma. They reportedly had a tiff during Ek Je Chhilo Raja and a couple of years ago, their differences came out in public. Now, they are back and have worked together in Srijit’s upcoming thriller, Dawshom Awbotaar.
How is their patching-up phase going on? Jisshu said, “Srijit is just the same. It is just like the way we worked before. No change whatsoever. I enjoyed all the same at his sets.”
Meanwhile, Srijit is also quite happy to be back with Jisshu on his sets. He thinks that Jisshu has evolved as an actor. The director said, “Jisshu is a much more evolved actor today. Earlier, he used to be an instinctive actor and used to surrender to the director. Now, he has turned into a thinking actor, keeping the trait of being an instinctive actor intact. Now he gives options to the director. ‘What do you want? Should I do it like this or that?’ And I can tell him to choose between two styles. That makes it easier. And Jisshu has become more evolved from his experience from working in different industries.”
Billed as a cop universe, the film also features Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jaya Ahsan, and Anirban Bhattacharya.
