Srikanth - Aamir Khan to launch the 'Papa Kehte Hai' song with Rajkummar Rao

Rajkummar Rao is all set for his first release of the year, Srikanth. The film, directed by Tushar Hiranandani is based on the real-life story of a visually impaired industrialist, Srikanth Bolla. The film also stars Jyotika, Sharad Kelkar, and Alaya F in pivotal roles. When the makers released the trailer of the film a few days ago, it gave us a glimpse of the recreated version of Aamir Khan's iconic song from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, 'Papa Kehte Hai.' The recent update now reveals that the song will be launched by none other than Mr. Perfectionist.

According to the reports by Pinkvilla, the makers of the film are ready to release the song on April 22, 2024, by Aamir Khan. The source tells the portal that when the producer of the film Bhushan Kumar revealed the idea of recreating the iconic song with Aamir, he was excited that the song was being recreated for a personality like Srikanth Bolla.

The source also adds that in a grand event in Mumbai, the song will be performed by visually impaired members of a band in the presence of Khan, Srikanth Bolla, Rajkummar Rao, and the other team members of Srikanth Bipoic. "It’s a grand event in Mumbai, and Aamir was gracious and kind to accept the invitation for the launch. In-fact, he is also excited given that the song will take him on a nostalgic trip to the times of his debut," the source added.

The trailer of the film follows the narrative of Rajkummar Rao's character (Srikanth Bolla), who talks about his aims in life and reveals that he wants to be India's first-ever visually challenged President. The trailer also takes us to his childhood and the challenges he faces throughout his journey. The trailer also gives a glimpse into Jyothika's character, who plays the role of Raj's teacher as they begin to fight against the education system.

Who is Srikanth Bolla?

Founder of Bollant Industries, Srikanth Bolla is an Indian entrepreneur who employed differently-abled and unskilled individuals. His life story is inspiring as he created job opportunities for people with disabilities. 

Srikanth will be released in cinemas on 10th May 2024.
