Srikanth Odela’s film with Chiranjeevi postponed, Bobby Kolli’s film moves ahead

Megastar Chiranjeevi is working on multiple films in his career post the debacle of Bholaa Shankar. He took some time off and signed a fantasy drama titled Vishwambhara. However, the film has been stuck in post-production for the last two years and is yet to lock its release date.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi has more than one film lined up, including a project with director Anil Ravipudi. Apart from these, Chiranjeevi also signed a film with Dasara director Srikanth Odela, which will be produced by Nani. Ever since news about this film came out, fans have been super excited to see what a young and talented director like Srikanth Odela can do with a star like Chiranjeevi. 

However, the sad update is that this project has been postponed for now. One of the sources close to Chiranjeevi has revealed that the megastar has okayed Bobby Kolli's new film instead. One of the main reasons for this is the delay in Srikanth Odela’s new film The Paradise, featuring Nani, which faced budget issues and has only recently gone on floors. As it will take time to complete, Chiranjeevi did not want to sit idle and hence agreed to Bobby Kolli's project in the meantime.

The same source adds that Chiranjeevi's film with Srikanth Odela will no longer go on floors in 2026 and has been pushed to 2027, with a release planned for the end of that year. This news has disappointed fans, as everyone was eager to see how Srikanth Odela would showcase Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi okays Bobby Kolli's next

As for Bobby Kolli's film, this will be his second time directing Chiranjeevi after Waltair Veerayya, which ended as a super hit at the box office. Since Chiranjeevi has full faith in the director, he immediately gave his nod after hearing the script.
