Srimanas makes a mark with aha's direct-to-OTT release Oorellipotha Mama

Upcoming actor Srimanas, who made a splash with Oorellipotha Mama, a direct-to-OTT release on Telugu OTT platform aha, claims to be a true student of cinema, drawing influences from yesteryear films and real-life experiences. Oorellipotha Mama, which is drawing a lot of eyeballs on the platform, is a film that's giving him a lot of reasons to cheer. Marina Singh was cast as his on-screen pair in the film written and directed by Anjan Reddy Kodathala.

The story of Oorellipotha Mama is set amidst the COVID-19 lockdown phase. The tale revolves around four friends who get stuck in a farmhouse while the government imposes an unexpected curfew. An unpredictable twist lands the group in trouble. Varun Arla, Sahar Krishnan, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Mahesh Vitta, TNR, Maddy and others too are cast in important roles. Tadipatri Venkata Konda Reddy, G Dhamodhar Reddy, S Maruti Prasad, K Himanvith Reddy have jointly produced the film. 

"I am thrilled with the response for the film on aha and it has filled with me a lot of enthusiasm," shares Srimanas. The actor made his silver-screen debut with Patarupalem Premakatha says he'll always owe his progress to director Durairaj (who helmed his debut).For the uninitiated, Durairaj has the credit of giving a firm launchpad to actors like Sree Vishnu and Sharwanand as well. 

Meanwhile, Srimanas, coasting on the positive feedback for Oorellipotha Mama, has given his nod to an action entertainer titled Potla Githa, directed by Venkat. The newcomer, who claims to be a fan of Mahesh Babu, shares his ultimate goal is to make his loved ones proud with his films. Naveen Potluri had cranked the camera for Oorellipotha Mama with Mihiraamsh scoring the music. The film was edited by Chinnam Seenu.
