Childhood is a stress-free period of happiness and innocence for most individuals. As we grow up and get embroiled in the complications of life, we can’t help but reminisce about the days gone. Building upon this emotion of nostalgia, Srimanta Sengupta’s upcoming movie Abar Bocchor Koori Pore ensures to dive into a heart-warming tale of friendship, focusing on a reunion of school friends, who get asphyxiated in the struggle and monotony of their adult life and then decide to revisit their golden days after 20 long years.

However, the real USP of the project seems to be its star-studded ensemble. From Arpita Chatterjee, Tanusree Chakraborty, Abir Chatterjee, Pushan Dasgupta, Tanika Basu, Ravi Shaw and veteran Paran Bandyopadhyay to Rudranil Ghosh, Swagata Basu, Sumanta Mukhopadhyay, Abhishek Banerjee, Anirban Bhattacharyya, Arya Dasgupta, Dibyasha Das, Rajarshi Nag and Aritra Dutta Banik, Abar Bocchor Koori Pore would amplify the tale of once-lost-now-found friendship.

Set in late 90s Kolkata, the plot revolves around the journey of four friends trapped in the clutches of their complicated adult life. Arun, a hardworking individual, has built his career from scratch but finds himself lost in the aggrandisement of the corporate world, while Bonnie is a doctor caught up in the vortex of her own life, all the while going through some transformative changes. On the other hand, Nila is busy in her life of husband, kids and household chores, and wants a respite from the daily monotony. Finally comes Dutta who is the only one based in Kolkata and keeps on planning for a long-pending reunion.

With Pratip Mukherjee as the DOP and Ranajoy Bhattacharjee as the composer, along with the story and screenplay by Srimanta Sengupta and Monali Sen Choudhury, how these lost friends defy all odds and make it to the reunion will be the subject of the movie, with the add-on of some unique twists and turns to make the journey memorable.
