S.S. Rajamouli is currently embarked on the RRR mission. Having scored yet another gigantic box office hit with the film, the superstar filmmaker is now in Hollywood land in anticipation of his maiden Oscar. And with Naatu Naatu, the cult number from the film, winning the Golden Globe, chances seem pretty high and good for Rajamouli & Co. at the upcoming Academy Awards.
Aside from the glam and glitter of these Hollywood award ceremonies, another major perk for team RRR has been the opportunity to interact with the biggest of the stars across the globe. The foreign media, industry trackers and, of course, the audiences have already showered a tremendous amount of love on the film but what's gratifying is the response of some of the most revered and successful Hollywood filmmakers. Having recently met his idol and inspiration Steven Spielberg at the Golden Globes, S.S. Rajamouli had the honour of interacting with James Cameron about his film and garnering high praise from the Titanic filmmaker.
Cameron, who is in contention for the Best Director award at the Oscars along with Rajamouli, met the Telugu filmmaker at a recent awards ceremony and has, apparently, conveyed his sheer love for the film. Rajamouli took to social media a short while ago to share a small glimpse of his interaction with the Avatar: The Way of Water director and his wife Suzy Amis Cameron and expressed his delight over receiving compliments from the great director.
"The great James Cameron watched RRR.. He liked it so much that he recommended to his wife Suzy and watched it again with her.馃檹馃徎馃檹馃徎 Sir I still cannot believe you spent a whole 10 minutes with us analyzing our movie. As you said I AM ON TOP OF THE WORLD... Thank you both 馃グ馃グ馃馃," wrote S.S. Rajamouli in his tweet
The pictures reveal an intense but endearing conversation between S.S. Rajamouli and James & Suzy Cameron, with the three presumably discussing RRR and other things cinema. Quite evidently, Rajamouli is unable to contain his joy of running into a legend such as James Cameron and the Baahubali director certainly seems over the moon about the pleasant encounter.
