Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep’s latest release, the Anup Bhandari directorial Vikrant Rona has been getting a lot of love from different quarters. Among them is popular filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who has worked with Sudeep in Eega and Baahubali. Taking to social media, Rajamouli was all praise for Sudeep’s conviction in making this film and admitted that he did not see some of the twists in the story coming. He wrote, “Congratulations @KicchaSudeep on the success of Vikrant Rona. It takes guts and belief to invest on such a line. You did and it paid off. Preclimax, the heart of the film was superb. Couldn’t see that coming and it was too good.👏🏻👌🏻Special mention to Guddy's friend Bhaskar.🤩😂”
Elated by this response to his film, Anup responded, “Thank you @ssrajamouli sir 😊! We are all ecstatic! Specially Bhaskar, he is hoping to get a role in your next film 😬 #VikrantRona”. The official handle of the film also had a tweet that read, “Thank you very much sir ❤️Bhaskerrr is on cloud 9 today 😂”.
Bhaskar, incidentally, is a character who is only spoken of in the film and is introduced by Vikrant Rona’s daughter Geetanjali (Samhita) as her friend who gives her a lot of worldly gyan. While Samhita was also thrilled by Rajamouli’s tweet, “Awwww this made my day 🤗 Thank you @ssrajamouli sir Officially Guddi and Bhaskar is getting famous now 😂😂#VikrantRona #Guddi #GeethanjaliRona”.
Netizens, of course, have been going to town trying to figure out who Bhaskar is and have, hilariously found him in a character played by veteran actor Sadhu Kokila in Sudeep’s Ranna. Twitter is full of memes featuring the Kannada actor as Bhaskar.
Vikrant Rona, directed by Anup Bhandari, has been produced by Shalini and Manjunath Gowda and co-produced by Alankar Pandian. The film, which has music by Ajaneesh B Loknath and cinematography by William David, also stars Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok in pivotal roles, along with Madhusudan Rao, Ravishankar Gowda, among others.
