SS Rajamouli’s RRR scales 1000 Million streaming minutes on ZEE5

One of India’s biggest blockbuster entertainers SS Rajamouli’s RRR featuring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the lead, premiered from May 20, 2022, onwards on Zee5. The film has scaled 1,000 million streaming minutes and is trending at No.1 in all four languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam & Kannada). This is considered an impeccable benchmark. The movie was premiered on May 20, marking the special occasion of J. NTR’s birthday, and opened to a phenomenal response with relentless streaming in the four languages.

SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which comprises the involvement of powerhouse performers and top-notch technicians wowed the International audiences with its maverick filmmaking style and presentation. The film has been labeled as the year’s biggest blockbuster, and the OTT premiere on Zee5 continues the success streak. 

RRR is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR) and their fight against the British Raj. The film has been predominantly shot in Hyderabad, with a few sequences in Ukraine and Bulgaria. The shoot was delayed due to the pandemic. While the film's soundtrack and background score is by popular musician MM Keeravani, cinematography is by KK Senthilkumar and editing is by A Sreekar Prasad. Sabu Cyril is the film's production designer and V Srinivasa Mohan has supervised the visual effects. RRR Is said to be one of the third highest grossing Indian films, until it was overtaken by K.G.F: Chapter 2.
