Even as the final schedule of Sarkaru Vaari Paata is yet to be wrapped up, Mahesh Babu's next film, tentatively titled #SSMB28, to be helmed by director Trivikram Srinivas, is set to go on floors. A report by Telugucinema.com confirms that the entertainer will be formally launched on February 3. S Radhakrishna and Suryadevara Nagavamsi of Haarika and Hassine Creations are bankrolling the film that'll have Pooja Hegde playing the female lead.

#SSMB28, which will be launched in Hyderabad, marks the third collaboration between Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram, after Athadu and Khaleja. Mahesh Babu, S Thaman from the team had recovered from COVID-19 recently. The film's primary cast, crew, are expected to be part of the formal launch ceremony of the project. The principal shoot of the films is set to begin in March or early April.

It's also reported that Samyuktha Menon may be cast as the film's second female lead. Names like Nabha Natesh, Meenakshii Chaudhury were considered for the role but it seems like Samyuktha has earned the final nod from the team. Samyuktha is already a part of two big projects produced by Sithara Entertainments, Bheemla Shankar (where she's paired opposite Rana Daggubati) and Vaathi a.k.a Sir (alongside Dhanush).

The team including S Thaman, Mahesh Babu, Trivikram, S Naga Vamsi had met in Dubai earlier this year for script discussions. Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata, directed by Parasuram Petla, is likely to hit theatres in April. After wrapping up Trivikram's film, Mahesh Babu will go onto work with SS Rajamouli for a film to be produced by KL Narayana under Sri Durga Arts.
