SSMB29: Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli adventure drama to have solid comedy, here's what we know

SS Rajamouli is one of the biggest directors in Indian cinema and is currently directing Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in a biggie. After wrapping up three schedules of the film, the team has taken a summer break and will regroup in May 2025.

SSMB29 to have a high dose of comedy

Well, we at OTTplay have some very interesting updates about the film for our readers. A source close to the unit revealed to us that SSMB29 features solid comedy as well. The source adds that the comedy is situational and will be generated through Mahesh’s interactions with tribals and some crazy chase sequences.

There is also news that Mahesh Babu will be seen in the role of an archaeologist. If this is true, it will be very interesting to see what the RRR director has up his sleeve.

Prithiviraj Sukumaran to play the villain in SSMB29

Priyanka Chopra has been cast as the leading lady and is rumored to be playing a negative role. SS Rajamouli has kept everything under wraps, and not much is known about the film. Empuraan director and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen as one of the villains.

MM Keeravani, who composed superhit music for Vedam, is also scoring the music for this yet-untitled film. A few days ago, news broke that a song featuring Mahesh Babu and Waqt actress Priyanka Chopra was shot in Hyderabad, though there’s no official confirmation.

All of Rajamouli’s past films have had a decent dose of comedy despite being action-heavy. But as SSMB29 is an adventure thriller, the inclusion of more comedy makes things quite interesting. We’ll have to wait and see what the star director has in store. More details will be out soon.
