Stand Up Rahul, the urban comedy featuring Raj Tarun, Varsha Bollamma in the lead, marks the directorial debut of Santo Mohan Veeranki. The film revolves around the trials and tribulations of an aspirant stand-up comedian Rahul, who needs to move past his dysfunctional upbringing and take charge of his life. Produced by Nandkumar Abbineni and Bharath Maguluri under Dream Town Productions and HighFive Pictures, the film is gearing up for a theatrical release on March 18.

The makers of the film released a catchy promotional song earlier today, that sheds light on the way the protagonist looks at his life, the pressures he faces, showcasing his observations on society, all packaged in a funny exterior. The composer of the film, Sweekar Agasthi and Roll Rida (rap portions) have sung the number lyricised by popular indie musician Mama Sing. The song is picturised more on the lines of the well-known game Mario and makes for a good fun watch.

Raj Tarun and Varsha Bollamma are at their energetic best with their quirky, uncoventional moves and dance their heart out. The song also takes you through the recording studio and what went behind the composition, the discussions between Roll Rida, Sweekar Agasthi and the director. The promotional campaign for the movie is in full swing and despite having a delicate release timing (between movies like RRR and Radhe Shyam), the team is going all out to spread the word among audiences.

Murali Sharma, Indraja, Devi Prasad, Madhurima Narla, Vennela Kishore and others play important roles in the film as well. The technical crew comprises cinematographer Sreeraj Raveendran, editor Raviteja Girijella and art director Uday.
