Stanford and Yale Universities invited Sima Taparia from Indian Matchmaking to speak to their students!

With every new season of Netflix's Indian Matchmaking, Sima Taparia, a matchmaker around whom the show is based, is constantly in the news. You will hear people talking about her, and news articles and memes about the things she says or the way she behaves on the show are aplenty.

But did you know that Sima from Mumbai is so popular that some of the top universities in the world have invited her to speak on campus?

Sima recently appeared in a music video titled Shadi Ki Tayaree Hai. While promoting the video, she spoke about having spoken at Stanford and Yale universities in the US.

Speaking to Mid Day, Sima revealed that Indian Matchmaking had made her extremely popular and even given her business a boost.

She told the daily that now people recognise her everywhere, be it at a mall, a restaurant, or in shops. She added that she meets "fans" everywhere she goes. Citing an example of a recent trip, Sima said, "I was in Dubai three days ago, and there were so many fans. I did a lot of interviews there. They want me to do many events there."

Speaking further about just how in-demand she is, Sima even told the interviewer that she was invited by Stanford and Yale to give a talk there. She said, "I recently gave a talk at Stanford and Yale Universities in the US. People want to call me to the universities to give a message to the students."
