Star Jalsha Parivaar Awards: Here is what we know about the winners

The Star Jalsha Parivaar Awards 2024 took place a couple of days ago. The award show did not take place last year due to certain unavoidable circumstances. However, this time the event on February 10 had a gala celebration with songs, dances, and lots of fun.

There were speculations about the awards in different categories. The two major awards were the Best Couple and the Best Family awards. There were some controversies after the best couple nominations were announced. Surya-Deepa of Anurager Chhowa did not get a berth there. Durjoy-Rani (Tomader Rani), Geeta-Swastik (Geeta LLb), Dev-Parvati (Tumi Ashe Pashe Thakle), Sandhya and Akashnil (Sandhyatara), Katha and Avy (Katha), Sraban and Omkar (Love Biye Aaj Kaal), Sankar and Aishani (Haragouri Pice Hotel), and Sarbani-Ramprasad (Ramprasad).

Surprisingly, Surya and Deepa are not on the list. Durjoy and Rani won the award. Abhika and Arkaprava are the most popular couple whose chemistry created a buzz on TV. They also got awards for the best newcomers.

However, the reports of the Hindustan Times Bangla say that Anurager Chhowa won the Best Family award.

Rituparna Sengupta, Tota Roychoudhury, and Siboprosad Mukherjee judged the contest. The other popular choices were based on the audience's votes. Anurager Chowa won the highest number of awards. It got awards in categories like favourite in-laws, son, vamp, a young member in the family, etc.
