Star Wars’ The Mandalorian set to get adapted into manga, is anime on the cards too?

Star Wars’ much-loved show The Mandalorian is now getting an adaptation. While there are already books on The Mandalorian, the manga from Japanese is getting converted into English soon. Viz Media will release the English version of the manga in September.

The hit Disney+Hoststar series focuses on the lives on Din Djarin and Grogu (the Baby Yoda). More recently, Bo-Katan was introduced to the series and had a powerful role, to add to it.

Star Wars has been a favourite in manga culture. The Mandalorian isn’t the first to receive this treatment. Rebels and Visions, too, have their own manga version. Apart from that, Lost Stars and Leia: Princess of Alderaan had also found their way in manga.

The Mandalorian’s English manga will be out on September 12, 2023. The first volume of the book will be out then. For the uninitiated, manga speaks in scriptures over words, much like a comic book.

Yusuke Osawa is responsible for the artwork in the manga. Star Wars’ YouTube channel made the announcement of the manga release.

The manga takes people to the very beginning of the story. It is the first time when Din Djarin meets Grogu and realizes his power. He also finds a sense of responsibility to protect the young child and thus, does everything to keep Grogu safe.

The Japanese version of the manga released in May 2022. The upcoming manga is the first English translation of it.

Often when a manga gets adapted, especially in both the languages (Japanese as well as English), it is followed by an anime. Thus, this move raises the question, will The Mandalorian also have its anime version out soon?
