Legendary actors Steve Martin and Martin Short have teamed up with Selena Gomez for the Hulu original comedy series Only Murders in the Building which is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The weekly series has left an impressive mark on many and are impatiently waiting for the coming episodes to be dropped by the streaming platform. Now, during an interaction, Steve spoke about working with Selena and her acting skills.

As per the FemaleFirst website, the veteran actor stated, "I knew Selena but didn't know her work. Though I dance around the house to her music all the time. But I didn't know her theatric(al) work."

Steve added that he searched about Selena on the Internet and thought she is a beginner and a young actor. The actor then said, "And then she's done more movies than I have."

The Pink Panther actor revealed that he is very much interested in the true crime genre. Steve said, "I'm interested in the solving of a crime. But I decided that it was important to play it straight. It still looks like a spoof."

Only Murders in the Building reunites Steve with his Three Amigos co-star Martin Short and the former is also one of the creators of the show along with John Hoffman. The show is about three strangers who are obsessed with true crime. However, they find themselves wrapped in one as they start investigating the mysterious death of a neighbour in their apartment building.

The show also features Aaron Dominguez and Amy Ryan in pivotal roles. 

The first season of the series comprising of 10 episodes dropped the pilot on August 31, 2021, and it will go on till mid-October this year. Hulu has renewed the series for a second season in September.
