But Savita’s parents, especially her father, want to get her married off at the earliest, amid crunching financial situation at home. Sthal, which means Match, portrays Savita’s predicament as she has to dress up everytime a prospective groom turn up to see her, with his entire family judging her for her looks, including skin colour. This becomes a never-ending ritual with Savita dolled up, while her mother toils away in the kitchen to ‘treat the visitors.
