Abhishek Banerjee's internationally acclaimed thriller drama, Stolen, is finally aiming to land on an OTT platform. The film has already been recognised at several prestigious film festivals, including the Venice Film Festival 2023, the BFI London, and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). The film also won the Audience Choice Best Film and Best Director awards at Japan’s Skip City International Digital Cinema Festival. Stolen explores the themes of motherhood, classism, xenophobia, and a disillusionment with the system. The story follows the journey of two brothers who witness a child being kidnapped from a poor mother at a remote railway station, and join their mother's desperate search for the child. The film also looks at the experiences of Sweden's indigenous Sami community and their struggles with modernization.
Two brothers witness a baby being kidnapped from its sleeping mother at a rural railway station in India. Driven by a sense of duty, the younger brother convinces the other brother to help their mother and get involved in the investigation, leading them on a dangerous journey through the harsh backcountry.
