Jen D’Angelo will pen the script of the movie bankrolled by Universal Pictures.

Sam Richardson (Veep and The Tomorrow War) will be seen next in an upcoming action-comedy, Stranded Asset, which he has co-written with Jen D’Angelo. Also starring Chris Pratt, the movie will be produced by Universal Pictures.
Deadline writes that Pratt will produce via Indivisible Productions. Plot and additional cast details are currently under wraps.
Pratt’s banner and Universal Pictures have struck a first-look deal in which a film titled Saigon Bodyguards, which will reunite Pratt with Russo Brothers and actor Wu Jing, is currently under development.
Pratt and Richardson had previously starred alongside in The Tomorrow War, a sci-fi movie currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. D’Angelo was the on-set writer on the movie.
Richardson was recently seen in the IFC horror comedy Werewolves Within and will appear in Lord and Miller’s Apple TV+ series, The Afterparty. Other credits include HBO Max’s Superintelligence and Focus Features’ Oscar winner Promising Young Woman. Richardson’s most iconic role is of Richard Splett in Veep, the multi-award winning political satire led by Julia-LouisDreyfus.
Besides Stranded Asset, D’Angelo’s next project is Hocus Pocus 2 for Disney+. She most recently sold Untitled Sister Comedy, starring Awkafine and Sandra Oh to Netflix. She has also worked on Solar Opposites, Workaholics, The Millers & Cougar Town.
