If there is one show that has held the anticipation of the audience by chokehold, it has to be Stranger Things season 5. The fifth and final season of Netflix’s crown jewel has been one of the most-awaited shows across the globe, and the wait for the same is just getting longer with each passing day. Thanks to the pandemic and then the Hollywood strike, no kid in the cast is going to be a teenager by the time the season hits Netflix. However, it turns out David Harbour, aka Jim Hopper, now has a happy update to offer.

If you are unaware, Millie Bobby Brown starrer Stranger Things aired the fourth season last year after keeping the fans waiting for a long time. However, there was hope that the fifth season would take less time than the fourth season. But midway through production, the cast and crew had to stall their work and stay away from the sets for a long time due to the Hollywood strikes.

Now, as the world is going back on sets, David Harbour has confirmed that he is getting back on Stranger Things season 5 sets next week. As per Comicbook, while talking about the new season, he said, "I'm gonna just make a bold statement. Each year, it feels like the show's getting bigger and bigger and more exciting. And we have a real responsibility to knock it out of the park in the final season.”

David Harbour added, “So if we don't, give me all of your fan rage. Write the petitions. Go ahead, do it. Because I'm going down there next week to start and I'm going to pour my whole heart into this thing. I've read some of the scripts and in my mind, they're stunningly beautiful. It's time. We're going to knock it out of the park. We're going to deliver you the finale that you need, that you want, that I want."

However, reports have already suggested that the new season will only be delayed more and the wait for the same will be much longer than we thought. There is no confirmation from the makers of Stranger Things as of yet. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more.
