Stranger Things season four has been extensively shot in Georgia, Lithuania and New Mexico.
It's been more than two years since Stranger Things season three started streaming on Netflix. The show was renewed for the fourth season and fans have been waiting for it for over a year now. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the series' production got delayed thus the release has also been postponed. Now during a recent interaction, the producer of Stranger Things Shawn Levy gave an update on season four.
As per reports in Variety, the filmmaker said, "To state the incredibly obvious, it’s been way, way, way, way too long, and it’s coming."
Revealing the shoot details, Levy said that they shot a major chunk of the series in the past couple of months after the pandemic hit the show's filming badly.
He shared, "I shot in Lithuania right before the pandemic. We have filmed in Georgia, Lithuania and New Mexico, so suffice to say Season Four is sprawling."
Meanwhile, Shawn went on to say that the latest season is going to be visually and narratively very ambitious, much more than the previous three seasons.
Citing that pandemic is not just the reason for the delay, the producer also stated that they chose to go much bigger with the upcoming season which led to the multi-settings of the anticipated series.
