The last season of Stranger Things is building to a fever pitch. Even though Vecna has been banished by Eleven for the time being, Hawkins' heroes still have a lot of riddles to solve.

We bring a piece of good news for all the fans out there! With the official start of filming for Stranger Things 5, we are getting closer to the thrilling finale of Netflix's sci-fi phenomenon. With the mysteries surrounding Hawkins growing more intricate and our favorite characters' futures becoming less assured, the cast and crew have come back to confront the challenges head-on.

Shooting for 5th season of Stranger Things begins

Following several setbacks brought on by the significant SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood, work on the fifth and final season of Netflix's Stranger Things has finally begun in Atlanta. Posts on social media from Atlanta-based outlets like Atlanta Filming purport that important cast members, including Joe Keery (Steve), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Maya Hawke (Robin), and Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), were there for a sequence shot at the studio base.

It appears that a release date for the hugely successful franchise is now set to be announced soon. One thing is certain, even though the official date is still subject to change: the team will return to Netflix by the beginning of 2025.

The last season is under filming, and viewers may expect to see Hawkins' heroes return to Netflix in the early months of 2025. The makers of the forthcoming season have said that they will not be adding any new characters to the cast. The first episode of the finale is titled “Chapter One: The Crawl - Written by The Duffer Brothers.”

Season 5 of Stranger Things marks the series' conclusion. In February 2022, the Duffer Brothers themselves made this revelation in an open letter. The show has proven to be one of the streaming platform's all-time greatest hits.
